Our kids are all pancake eaters. At some point during their journey, Deb figured out that M&M’s went great in pancakes. Then she took it a step further: Mini M&M’s. These are the baby dark chocolate ones. They are perfect to insert in pancake batter.
Next time you toss some cakes on the griddle, drop a handful of Mini M&M’s into the batter. Flip and eat. The chocolate will give them a spectacular flavor.
In fact, you’ll find, as our kids did, that you don’t need syrup or butter. They are great to eat dry. If you want to add a little extra pizzazz, lightly butter them. That will draw out the chocolate taste even more. Have at it!
