Slice the brats like you do cucumbers, only slightly thicker. Warm them in the skillet. In a separate skillet, scramble some eggs. When both are done, layer the eggs on top of the sliced brats. You can eat this as a stand-alone or on a tortilla.
Get some shredded cheddar cheese and put that on top of the eggs. Pull out the Tabasco sauce and shake some on top of this (you can also use salsa if you prefer). Done. You now have a wake-you-up, fill-you-up, tasty, spicy breakfast that gets rid of some of your leftovers, tastes great AND gives you heartburn.
